New Feature-Nursing Division Screen
July 29, 2022
Schedule360 consistently aims to provide the best nurse scheduling software using the latest web and mobile technology tools. Occasionally our product features need to be adjusted or updated to ensure optimal customer satisfaction of our clients. In other words, if something doesn’t work the way our customers need it to, we get to work enhancing our award-winning software to remain the most configurable scheduling solution available.
An example of a recent enhancement is the addition of the Division Screen for Nursing. The Division Screen can be activated with a click of the mouse and functions to better organize the admin-level view for selecting Employee Qualified and Assigned areas within a hospital. Prior to having this feature, if the division screen was turned off, the Admin link for the employee set-up would display every single unit in the hospital, often requiring the Admin User to scroll continuously to find the correct units to check when building or editing employee profiles. Our large health system clients appreciate this addition as previously assigning employees to the correct department(s) took longer.
Nursing Division Screen
In response, we developed a new feature called the nursing division screen. To briefly sum up this exciting and highly anticipated new feature, the nursing division screen:
- Abbreviates the number of departments you see.
- It allows admins to select one or more Divisions, based on employee Assignment
- Is defaulted with every new set-up.
- Is designed to save time for Admin users on Employee Profile additions or modifications
System Configuration Based on User Feedback
Schedule360 strives to ensure our nurse scheduling software is robust and flexible but also exceeds our clients’ expectations and needs. We work consistently to incorporate user feedback to create innovative features that speak directly to our client’s staff scheduling pain points. It’s crucial that our customers never feel they must settle for scheduling software that isn’t working the way they need it to, so if something isn’t right, please let us know. That’s what sets Schedule360 apart. We work endlessly to continually optimize our system. It’s also a guarantee and a service standard we provide to all customers, no matter how long you’ve been with us.
Core Features You Can Count On
Our nurse scheduling software provides multiple benefits including a cost-effective solution for scheduling automation. Using secure-cloud hosted software, a nursing department can create and adjust schedules in real-time to proactively align staff with demand, control labor costs, increase productivity, and maintain compliance.
Below are several high-level features:
Rules-Based Self-Scheduling
Self-scheduling for nurses allows employees to search and accept shifts within their licensure and qualifications from any mobile device with the internet. After shifts are released for the upcoming schedule and immediate booking of set scheduled shifts, any remaining open shifts are then available for self-scheduling by qualified staff. Employees can also swap shifts within the established rules. Management sets guidelines and any feature can be turned on or off depending on your processes, including Group Rotation scheduling by Seniority or by Department preference.
License and Credential Tracking
Using nurse scheduling software makes it easy for schedulers to keep track of employee licensure and skills, conveniently stored in employee profiles. Schedule360 can track and make time-sensitive any/all employee licensure, credentials, and skills. The system can be set to disallow staff access to scheduling when any of these items are expired. When creating a schedule, shifts can be broken down by special shift type and required credentials, ensuring only those employees qualified to work the shift are being scheduled.
Reporting and Analytics
- Productivity: (HPPD) Care Hours Per Patient Day calculations based off department census.
- Work Force Management: Variance reporting, by employee, for all required work targets (Weekly, Weekend, On Call, Daily required hours per period).
- Staffing Analysis: Configurable, Summarized Report with drilldowns showing all filled-open shifts by any/all departments, for at-a-glance viewing by Unit, Facility, Enterprise.
- Incident Reporting: Any/All incidents reported in aggregate fashion by employee, by unit or multiple units. Detail All and Summary reporting available with print formatting and export capability.
- Integrated Daily Reporting: (Overtime, Flex/Float/Cancel, Shifts details, PTO)
